It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas!

Well, we did it!  What’s that you ask…..we finally got our Christmas tree up!!   Stephen pick it up on his way home from work last Thursday!  We’ve never gotten our tree so late in December and we’ve always gone out together to pick out the perfect tree, BUT we’ve been so sick these pas few weeks that it was pretty much that night or never!  After the kids got up from their naps we dragged out the decorations and they all had a blast looking through them and finding the “stuff” they wanted to put up!

Ben and Natalie found the little nativity set and had so much fun playing with the small pieces.  Ben had his favorites, the camel and sheep, and Natalie liked the baby.  They both sat on the floor for the longest time enjoying Christmas.  Carlos helped me put up the lights and garland on the banister and Jeremiah enjoyed dragging around the gaudy gold garland and tying up things including himself!

I decided to let the kids pick out their favorite ornaments and decorate the tree until they were tired, so our tree is a little “Charlie Brown”, but I love that it has only the best like ornaments.  For some reason Ben LOVES snowmen.  He found several in the ornament box and carried them around saying, “No man, man!”  That was his ornament of choice to hang on the tree and once he put his “no man” on the tree he promptly took it back off the tree.  Poor little snowman was put on and taken off the tree so many times he lost count of were he was!!

But poor snowman nothing!  Poor Stephen got the unfortunate job of untangling the wads of lights.  As he was diligently working on the mess of lights Stephen commented, “wow, I have no idea why I put these lights away in such a mess.” My response: “Uhhhmmmmm, that would be because…..your wife put away the lights!”  Guess who’s going to put away the lights this year!?!!?!
