Vacation in Little Rock part 1

Well I’m officially back from my blogging break.  While “on break” we took a little vacation to Little Rock to visit with Stephen’s sister Sharon, her hubby Cory, and their two boys Josh and Jon.  Stephen’s parents were also able to come from Reno, so it was a double visit!

See how smiley we are before we start this LONG trip!!  And yes Ben is still in his carrier seat.  Since he has not yet tipped the scales at 20 pounds we decided to let him stay in this seat for our trip to help with sleeping.  And it worked out great!

We left on Thursday afternoon and drove to Nashville (7 hour driving time) where we stopped and spent the night.  In those 7 hours we stopped 5 times!!  And I learned a valuable lesson, “don’t give your kids green lemonade while traveling….it makes them have to pee like crazy!!”  Carlos had picked out this green lemonade for the AWANA award night the night before and there was a ton left over.  And not wanting it to go to waste, I let the kids drink it on our trip.  So the green goop was not wasted, but we had WAY too many stops!!

By the time we arrived in Nashville, I think we were all just sick of traveling.  I dumped the big boys in the bathtub while Stephen carried in the overnight stuff and Ben wondered around the room just happy to have his “land” legs back!!  All four kids did a pretty good job sleeping since we were all sharing a room and that’s a little tricky for Ben and Natalie since they are not used to having other people sleeping with them.

I’m still working through most of the pictures, but I’ll have some great pictures of the fun stuff we did in the next day or two!
