Look who’s 10 months old!

Today my baby boy turns 10 months old!  I cannot believe my little Ben bean is growing up so fast!!  Ben is such a joy.  He is truly a little love.  Right now he’s not so much for snuggling, too much on the go, but every now and then he will cuddle up with me and oh what joy!!  Ben is really the happiest baby I know.  Always full of smiles and laughs at all kinds of things.  He loves to be silly.  And growls like a bear and laughs hysterically if you growl back.  Ben looks a lot like me (Sarah), but acts just like Stephen…..he totally has Stephen’s personality.   Ben loves to clime the stairs and has figured out how to back down them, but prefers to chased up the steps and carried back down.  Once he reaches the top, he crawls full speed toward the bathroom laughing like crazy if someone is in pursuit.

Ben loves to “eat” crayons, Legos, paper, foil and any other non-eatable item he can find on the floor.  He loves his brothers and Natalie and will go off looking for them if he’s not seem them for a while.  Ben loves to get in the middle of whatever they are doing (sadly for the big kids since his involvement is not always welcome).

Ben is not yet sleeping through the night consistently (sadly for mommy), but he is doing better and does make it without waking up some nights.  He has totally switched over to an afternoon nap only…no more morning stuff for him!  And thankfully his top two teeth arrived, so he is a four tooth wonder.  The only time he has been truly grumpy is cutting those top two teeth…whew, those were a rough few days!!  But give him a little Tylenol and he’s back to his happy self.

Ben weighs 18 pounds (the 4th percentile for weight) and is 28 inches tall (the 17th percentile for height).  He crawls at lightning speed, pulls up, walks around furniture, but has no desire to start walking on his own yet.  Ben talks and jabbers all the time, but does not yet say any real words.  He does say, “yeah” if you ask him and yes/no question.  He’s working on his sighs and can say “more” with encouragement.

I sometimes call him my “Ben of mass destruction” because he can wreck the house in 5 minutes flat!!  Oh but he does it with a smile on his face!!

So proud because he climed up on the stool by himself!!

What a face!

This stool is good for lots of things!

Hi Mommy….am I cute of what!

Look at my curls!

Something must have been Wow!! (the big baby on the left is my sister Rebekah’s youngest (born) son Ari).
