When we pray, we always end with “in Jesus name amen.” In preparation for Christmas each night at our family Bible time we are doing the Advent Tree. So each night we add one ornament to our tree. Before we add the new ornament Stephen will usually review the meaning of all the other ornaments (the white heart = holy God, the envelope = God’s announcement, etc). Earlier this week we added the fish ornament which stands for Jesus or Jesus’ name. So Stephen stated reviewing this with the boys, only they forgot what the fish represents so Stephen said, “Jesus Name” and Natalie adds rather loudly, “amen!!”

Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul. Psalm 66:10-12, 16Favorite Verse for 2013
