Thursday morning we left early and drove to Elizabeth and Rob’s for our Thanksgiving celebration. We had such a nice time visiting, eating, talking and seeing their new house! The kids had fun playing with Eva and Abby (the dog). Ben was so funny with Abby. He would crawl around chasing her to pull on her tail, fur or face, and Abby would return his “affection” with lots of licks, which in turn would make Ben back away grinning from ear to ear!!
Jeremiah and Eva had the most fun playing together. They were big buddies. Jeremiah said that Eva was a “best friend”!! Stephen showed Carlos some basketball moves and they played outside together for a while. Carlos also had fun playing with Abby in the dirt pile!! Oh, and Natalie was big buddies with Tio Maddy, because he pushed her on the swing for the longest time!!
We had such a nice day. It was different then the big Harris family get togethers we used to have, but I am starting to learn that different does not mean bad, it’s just different and sometimes it can even be better!!
Since we did not see my Mom on Thanksgiving day, I asked her if we could come and celebrate Thanksgiving with her on Friday. She (of course) said yes. So we spent a nice slow afternoon and evening visiting with Papa Grande (my mom’s dad), Mom, and my brother John.
