Happenings

Just to give fair warning….this is a heavy duty picture post, crafted especially for Nanny, Oma, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins round the globe (well ok, maybe not round the globe) and anyone else who’s interested in seeing the cutest kids on the planet (ok, maybe, just MAYBE I’m a little biased ).  Ok, got that out of the way!!

I was planning on doing several post about our happening around these here House of Smooches, but I’ve been a bad blogger the past few weeks and it’s catch up time….so hang on to your hats:

A few weeks ago we were walking out the door headed to the library and as we walked outside loaded down with books, I knew that the library was the wrong destination for us.  The weather was awesome!!  It was a day made for the park, so off we zipped to the park for a wonderful afternoon enjoying God’s sunshine.

Jeremiah the “bus driver”.  Hope that’s not his choice of vocation….as you can see a student (Ben) hanging on to the bumper for dear life!!

Hey mommy, I’m up here!!

Check out these muscles!!

Ben’s first time going down the slide.

Come on Ben, this is how you make it back to the top!!

Double Trouble!!

Ben LOVED the swing (definitely did not get that from mommy)

We had such a fun day!

And I’m beat!!

About two weeks ago we took a field trip to the Homestead creamery.

Our tour started in the basement of the creamery tasting different flavors of milk (chocolate, strawberry, orange and white).  Our tour guide told the kids that the strawberry milk came from a pink cow and for a second I think the kids believe him!!

We then went into the creamery and watched milk being bottled, ice cream being mixed and butter being made.  It was very interesting and noisy!!

Next we drove over to the farm that belongs to the creamery and saw where the milk originates from….the cows!!

The kids got to pet a calf and Carlos even let calf suck on his fingers!

After visiting the farm we went back to the creamery and got our ice cream sample….that was everyone’s favorite part!!

Natalie was so funny about the “special hat” we had to wear.  She was adamant about not wearing that thing, but once it was on her head, she would not take it off!!
