The Best Day Ever

Yesterday was, as Carlos put it, “the best day ever!” We got up super early (the boys got up at 5:30am), headed out to mysister Rebekah’s to pick up Zeke and drop off Natalie (and picked up mymom on the way) and then headed to Richmond to go to Kings Dominion! All three boys did great during the 3+ hour trip.  Must have beenall the snacks!!  Jeremiah fell asleep for about an hour duringthe trip, but other that that all the boys stayed awake going.  Wehad the best weather….sunny, breezy, but not too hot.

The first ride the boys went on was a little circle kiddie ride withcars.   As Jeremiah said, “cool cars!!”  All three boysLOVED the ride and wanted to go again.  Then Carlos and Zeke gotto ride a kiddie roller coaster and Carlos really loved that (Jeremiahwas too short to ride).  The boys rode a whole bunch of otherkiddie rides, but by far their favorite was the bumper cars….or asCarlos calls them the bumpy-cars.  The first time Jeremiah wouldnot ride and so Carlos drove and Zeke was the passenger.  They LOVED it!  Each time they would bump into another car they both got huge smiles and by the end Zeke was laughing with every bump.

The next time Jeremiah decided he wanted to ride the bumpy-cars, butCarlos wanted to ride alone, so Zeke drove and Jeremiah was hispassenger.  I took a video of their first ride and was laughing sohard I was crying!  Zeke driving was hysterical!  Jeremiahwas hanging on for dear life and Mom and I were laughing until we werecrying!  After the first time Zeke’s driving did improve as hefigured out how to steer and get untangled from the other cars. Jeremiah did not smile at all during the ride, but would get out of thecar with a huge smile on his face and always wanted to go again!

The other big hit was the balls.  There was a climbing area withtubes to crawl threw and a big room with tons of balls.  Jeremiahand Zeke especially loved playing there.  Mom would take them tothe “balls” while Carlos and I went and road a few big kid rides, likethe Scooby-Doo roller coaster.  The first time Carlos rode theScooby-Doo he was not so sure he liked it.  Later he told me thathe was pretty scared because everyone was screaming when they went downthe hill.  But the next time he loved it and wanted to go again!

Jeremiah and Zeke were so funny.  When they were waiting at a ridethat they were too small to go on, they would push around theirstrollers.  They were happy as larks pushing their stroller aroundin circles!

I was amazed at how well all three boys did all day long! Especially with no naps and with all of them getting up way before theynormally do.  Jeremiah did “loose it” on the way home, but afterabout 10 minutes or less of screaming he fell asleep.  Then wokeup about an hour later and cried for about 30 minutes before fallingback to sleep.  By the time we got home (1:00AM!!) I wasexhausted!!  But it was a super fun day!

Check out the video section for the video of Zeke’s driving.  Andlisten for the the crazy laughing you hear in the background.
